In a statement issued on Thursday in Abuja, Ayinde appealed to the youths to support the government and hold them accountable through peaceful and constructive means. He emphasized that youths are the future of Nigeria, and it is in their hands to shape the nation into one that everyone can be proud of.

Ayinde, however, stressed that the government alone cannot solve all the nation's problems; youths must play their part as responsible citizens.

The statement read in parts: “ Dear Nigerian youths, We, the ASÍWÁJÚ Coalition of Yoruba Youths, are calling on you today to share a message of unity and progress. As young Nigerians, we are the future of our great nation. It is our responsibility to shape the course of our country and make it a better place for generations to come.

“In recent times, we have witnessed an increase in protests and demonstrations across our nation. While we understand the frustrations and grievances of the youths, we believe that there is a better way to address these issues. We urge our fellow youths to shun protests and embrace dialogue instead.

“Protests, though a democratic right, can often turn violent and destructive. We have seen the negative consequences of such acts, including loss of lives, destruction of public and private properties, and disruption of economic activities. These actions not only harm our nation but also hinder our progress and development.

“We are not saying that our voices should not be heard, but we should use peaceful and constructive means to express our concerns. Dialogue and engagement with the government and other relevant stakeholders are essential for sustainable change. We must come to the table with open minds and a willingness to find common ground.

“Furthermore, as young Nigerians, we must support our government in its efforts to make Nigeria great. It is easy to criticize and point out the flaws of our leaders, but it takes courage and commitment to offer solutions and work toward a better future. We must remember that our government is made up of individuals who also have families and loved ones. Let us show empathy and understanding in our approach towards them.

“We cannot deny that Nigeria is facing many challenges, including youth unemployment, insecurity, and poor infrastructure. However, these issues can only be effectively addressed when we work together as a united front. The government alone cannot solve all our problems; we must play our part as responsible citizens.

“In line with this, the ASÍWÁJÚ Coalition of Yoruba Youths is committed to promoting the unity, progress, and development of our nation. We encourage all young Nigerians to join us in this cause and be part of the solution. Together, we can achieve great things and make our country a better place for all.”
