Could you kindly share a bit about your background?
I am Samuel Opeyemi Oluwakayode, popularly known as Prof. Kayode. I was born and raised in Eleyele, Ibadan, Oyo State, within the Ibadan North West Local Government area. I completed all my educational studies in Eleyele. I attended Saint Isabel Private School, Eleyele, Ibadan, and later, Jericho High School, followed by Federal Cooperative College, Eleyele, Ibadan, where I earned a Higher National Diploma in Cooperative Economics and Management. I also completed my National Youth Service Program in Delta State.
Your niche covers a wide range of interests, from Christian content to fashion and politics. How did you discover and develop your passion for these diverse areas of content creation?
I was born into a Christian home, with my parents serving as pastors, which naturally influenced my interest in Christian content. Additionally, my love for fashion and clothing led me to represent various brands in the fashion industry. Politics has always been a significant part of my life. During my school days, I held positions such as the clerk of the House of Student Representative Council and the General Secretary of the Student Union Government. These experiences, combined with my inherent passion, made developing my craft a seamless and daily practice.
Ibadan is known for its rich cultural heritage and vibrant community. How has the city's environment and its people contributed to your journey, and how do you feel your work is received and accepted in the Ibadan community?
Ibadan holds a special place in my heart. Being born, raised, and educated in Ibadan, I deeply understand and appreciate the community. The city's welcoming spirit, coupled with its rich creative environment, has significantly contributed to my journey. Ibadan appreciates and embraces creativity, making it a conducive space for my work to be received and accepted.
What inspires your decision to collaborate with brands, and how do you choose the brands you promote?
Collaborations are essential for growth, relationships, and networking. I appreciate collaborations as they align with my belief in continuous growth. Brands usually approach me based on my niche, and together we embark on projects. I am open to working with various brands and look forward to expanding my collaborations.
You have achieved significant recognition and awards as an influencer. Can you share a memorable experience or project that stands out in your career as THE PROFKAYODE?
Every project I undertake is memorable and stands out because I approach each with a commitment to excellence. As Prof. Kayode, there is no room for mediocrity, and I ensure that everything I do is of the highest quality.
What do you see as the biggest advantages and challenges of entrepreneurship in Ibadan?
The biggest advantage at the moment is the increasing presence of brands in Ibadan, indicating a growing entrepreneurship scene. However, this also brings about heightened competition, necessitating individuals to elevate their game to remain relevant. With Ibadan's welcoming environment, entrepreneurship is thriving, and individuals must strive for excellence.
How do you maintain productivity and work-life balance?

Maintaining productivity and work-life balance is crucial. I structure my daily life with a set itinerary, starting with prayer and focused work. With an innate passion for what I do, the process becomes stress-free and cost-effective. I prioritize delivering projects promptly, adhering to a disciplined schedule.
In the ever-evolving world of digital media, what strategies or trends do you find most effective in engaging your audience and growing your online presence?
My voice and face are distinctive elements that resonate with my audience. Videos, in particular, have proven to be effective in engaging my followers.
